All restaurants should be non-smoking. If smokers want to smoke then go outside. It's not fair to make us breathe proven dangerous second-hand smoke when we are paying patrons as well. Maybe this will clean up the crowd at Waffle House.

This is a wonderful step in the right direction, but let's see you enforce it at 2am. What a joke~ Like there wasn't enough fights at the Waffle House to begin with. This will go over good with the drunks, the truckers, the general 2am crowd, coming to discuss the nights events. Who you depend on for your living. Tell them No Smoking, let's see how far that gets ya.

I have a great healthy recipe for waffles that I make at home. No additives and no preservatives and my hands are clean while making them..

Most of your customers are smokers, so are your workers..I smoke and some of my friends do not, but we will be taking this restaurant off our list of places to eat. Just tell your customers that after they eat a meal with you, go outside and take in a deep breath of air, the pollution in the air is far worse that the smokers smoke.Never hear people complaining about this, or doing anything about the factories and the poision smoke they let out in the air 24/7,

I'm glad it's smoke free! Now, I can finally eat my "healthy" waffle house in peace. Thanks, Anti-Smoke NAZIS!

It's wonderful to see that they have the opportunity to make that decision. These government mandated smoking bans will probably go down in history as one of the greatest marketing scams ever by using tax exempt political action committees calling themselves "charities". They want to "hurry up and pass the bans" before people find out who is paying the lobbyists pushing for them by using our tax money. Here's the beginning of the ban movement in the USA. www.rwjf.org/pr/product.jsp?ia=143&id=14912 Here are the instructions from Johnson and Johnsons' (makers of cessation products) RWJ Foundation for their tax exempt political action committees. They are getting enough money from the RWJ Foundation, plus using MY tax money. They aren't getting any more money from me. www.no-smoke.org/pdf/CIA_Fundamentals.pdf

>"Waffle House has a strong heritage as a family restaurant," Guess WHO HAS the MOST KIDS? If you believe the demographics, SMOKERS do. I have 6 kids myself, and so far, EIGHT grandkids. If momma ain't happy, aint NOBODY happy. We will add these locations to our list of places we DON'T go, whcih includes McDonnalds, and Disney places. What a shame, we must disrespect such a large percentage of our popultion in order to cater to a very few NEUROTIC people. The 'danger' of smoke is a FRAUD, paid for and perpetuated by the DRUG industry. see www.forces.org for lots of info about that. Most non-smokers are mentaly well balanced folks who couldn't care less if someone smokes, so long as they aren't blowing it on them. The problems are being created by a very few folks who will stand outdoors in a parking lot with hundreds of idling automobiles, and move away from cigarette smoke. That is irrational - it is NEUROTIC. These people are MENTALLY ILL, and it's a shame they have gained so much influence. I've been a big waffle house fan for more than 40 years.
